Director of  Surgical Serives

Hospital located in Northern, FL.

We are one of the largest hospitals within the parent system with over 362beds.


Salary Range: $87,900-$131,800 




Provide administrative oversight of all operations, staff and resources in the Surgical Services Department.  Works in concert with the Manager Surgical Serices, Physicians and other OR Staff to insure clinical quality, work within budgetary constraints and meet regulatory standards.  The OR has 16 or suites - have approx 757-750 cases per month, had 2,800 Gl's in FY 2011. @75FTE. Work in concert with the Manager Surgical Services and other OR Clinical Management to make ongiong operational improvements in area such as room turnover,patient throughput, staffing levels and physician efficiency.   Utilize Surgery Compass and other decision-support tools to assess the feasibility of new proceduress or services as well as existing ones in the OR.  Provide regular, credible cost and outcomes data and recommendations to senior Management, Surgeons and other stakeholders in BMC's success.

Consults with CNO concerning management of assigned departments(s) and all relatd matters.


Experience required: 5+ years experience


Three to Five years previous clinical experience in an acute care setting.  3 to 5 years previous supervisory experience in an acute care setting required. 


Specific Skills Required:


Current RN license in the State of Florida BLS certification: ACLS and PALS certification within orientation period: TNCC and CEN preferred: additional certifications specific to area of responsibility. Ability to greet and effectively relate to patients, physicians and staff.  Ability to learn a varity of skills.  Clerical and computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office software programs.  


Education Required:


Bachelor's Degree in Nursing requried. Master's Degree in Nursing preferred.

Clinical Manager - OB/GYN


Job Location: Phoenix, AZ 


Salary Range: $93,600-$104,000 




Overview: Single or multi-department management of operations. Manages day to day operations. Directs, supervises, orients/trains and evaluates staff.  Enforces policies, procedures and standards of operation. Position has budgetary or fiscal accountability.  Renders individualized comprehensive nursing care, based on nursing process, to meet the patient's physical, psychological, spiritual, social and educational needs. Manages the staff to meet designated goals. Position is responsible for approving timekeeping, employee evaluation, meeting applicable regulatory standards, approving supply orders and department strategic planning.

Specific Skills Required:


Must be able to work under deadlines.  Must be able to utilize independent decision making skills in a wide variety of situations.  Requires a high degree of accuracy in the performance of varied responsibilities.  Personal computer skills required.  Frequent contact with employees, physicians, customers, community individuals and volunteers. Must be self-motivated to complete work in a timely manner to meet deadlines.

Minimum 5 years of nursing experience in a healthcare setting

Minimum 5 years experience in a clinical practice management position




Specific Skills Required:

Current California RN License

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System. Knowledge of CMS, Joint Commission, and other regulatory requirements. Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job. Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Current BLS certification  


Education Required:


Bachelor's Degree, Master's preferred.

Job Location: Fredericksburg, VA 


Salary Range: $62,545-$93,828   




The Registered Nurse (RN) assumes the accountability and responsibility as a professional nurse for providing total, comprehensive, continuous, and patient-centered care for an assigned group of patients. The RN is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation . 



Experience required


Minimum of one year OR Experience REQUIRED.

Registered Nurse licensed to practice in Virginia or eligible
